Good Morning!
Well, things have been rather interesting lately. My husband and I decided that I would make a go of this business. I have updated the website, put it on its own domain, and much more in the last three months. I was even preparing to go live and start accepting orders the 1st of this month. That's when things changed.... Oct. 23, 2017, Flu Shot...got sick...thanks.. Oct. 30, 2017 I'm getting set to go live in two days, and so excited to do so, then my husband's company tells him that they want to transfer him to Houston, TX. and that they will fly us down there for a long weekend because I have never seen the area. Everything changed.... In a matter of an hour. I went from looking at housing in the Greenville, SC area, to looking at housing in the NW area of Houston, TX. Nov. 1, 2017 I went back to part time at my current job so that I could focus more on house work and my business.; but who could focus on any of that. I was trying to find a hotel, a rental car, flights, etc. for the weekend. Why? Because my husband had till Nov. 10, 2017 to give his company an answer. If we were flying to Houston to see the area, it was going to have to be that weekend. Nov. 1, 2017 came.... and went. I didn't go live... I didn't start accepting online orders. I did have a few co-workers order a few items, and was able to get those completed in between working part time ( I'm a teacher's Aid at a Vocational School), recovering (still) from being sick thanks to the flu shot (never again....), and planning for the upcoming trip to Houston. But beyond that... Nov. 3, 2017 started at 4:00am. Our flight to Houston left at 6:50, and it takes almost an hour to get to the airport from our house. Let me tell you, that was the longest two and a half hour flight I have ever had. We were in Houston till Sunday at 12:30 when our flight home departed. Talk about a BUSY weekend. So, recap: I have yet to go live with my business, my husband is being transferred to Houston, TX, and my head is still spinning. So, now what, you may be asking? Well, the first week of December my husband and I will be relocating to NW Houston, TX. I will be picking up where I left off here, and hopefully be able to do everything that has been put on hold so far. Thanks for sticking it out with us! -Jen
